My name is Yank Elliott, MBA.

I worked in the corporate world in banking, finance, IT, and human resources. When I had to kick myself to go to work every morning I quit!

My experience includes several business ventures before this one. A few were unsuccessful but I kept trying. Perseverance is the key, not get-rich-quick.

These new businesses have allowed me to chase a life-long dream to write. I've been freelancing for several years and it's very satisfying.

I started FurriwhalesWorld.com in 1998 with the intent to show people the benefits of working for themselves, preferably from their own home.

Though all of our schools, churches, and our close associates say one cannot succeed on their own, they have been proved wrong. The US Commerce Department reported nearly 17 million "Mom and Pop" businesses in October of 2002.

That's a lot of success!

In the five years since FurriwhalesWorld.com began, we realized that a lot of advice is given in general terms. You have to figure everything out for yourself.

Another problem we encountered was everyone tells you how to set up and operate a business. Nobody tells you how to make money!

To fill these voids this site will offer:
