Search Google for “google!”

Wordtracker shows the term “google” as the number one searched for term on the Internet for over four months. Google is a wildly popular search engine so you might expect people to enter it as a search term just to access the website.

Because I am a pet lover I decided to see what might come up if I searched for the terms “google” and “dog.” Among the top answers were these two that are truly fascinating.

CELL PHONE FOR DOGS

Have you ever been away from home, in a hotel, in an airplane, or even in your car and you have an overwhelming desire to talk to your dog?

You will soon be able to do this with a portable cell phone that can be attached to your dog's collar. Not only can you talk to your best friend but you can also locate your pet through a built-in GPS system. And guess what? There's even a button someone can push if they find your pet and want to contact you, the owner.

Only thing is you'll have to wait until the Spring of '06 to get one from PetsMobility. Stay tuned; we'll let you know when they are available.

iDOG ROBOTIC DOG TOY

Another thing that turned up high in my “google” and “dog” search was the iDog. This little robot dog lights up, dances, and does other stuff. If you've always wanted a dog that will mind, needs no training, and one you don't have to clean up after, this is your mutt.

Demand is so high these little “pets” may be out of stock. But they will soon be available after the first of 2006. Most places will allow you to order now and take delivery when more become available.

Order your very own iDog from Amazon.com.
